ABOUT
Clayton J. Sayfie
Clayton Sayfie is a sports journalist and social media manager for TheWolverine.com, On3 Sports' Michigan fan site. He reports on the Wolverines, writes columns, podcasts and is the lead for the site's social media accounts. A Michigan native and the son of a U-M graduate, he has followed and had a deep passion for the Maize and Blue his entire life. He previously worked for the NFL, serving as a social media live content correspondent. Clayton is a graduate of Hope College, where he worked as a sports information intern for the football team, commentated athletics events and hosted a sports talk radio show.

Given the responsibility to help manage the accounts for Narrate Life's Instagram and Facebook pages. This gave me the chance to build month long editorial calendars and post on these platforms throughout those months. I grew in the skills of strategy, planning, and creative mindset throughout this semester-long internship.

With hosting a live radio show every Monday since January of 2016, I have developed my skills of being able to broadcast on-air and being comfortable talking about a variety of topics while engaging my audience. In this particular show, I start my opening monologue by relating the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks to the impact it has had on the sports world. I then discuss Hope Athletics, college football, NFL football, and more.

With doing commentating for live athletics events, I have learned how to navigate conversing with my partner, as well as describing the game or match.
I did play by play commentating for this matchup between Hope and Albion live from DeVos Fieldhouse at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Hope won the game 85-77.
D3 College Football: Hope College vs. Lakeland University - 2nd Half
September 16, 2017
I did play by play for Hope College's matchup with Lakeland University live from Ray and Sue Smith Stadium, the home of the Hope College Flying Dutchmen. Hope was able to pull off the win, 37-35, in an exciting and close game. The first half of the game can be seen here.

I have done work producing videos, including the documentary displayed below, as well as have edited sports hype videos.
Sports Video Editing
I have edited existing video footage to create hype videos for Michigan Football and Basketball for my YouTube Channel, WolverineProductions. The video shown here has over 31K views.
"Fighter" Documentary
In a documentary class that I took, we were asked to produce a documentary for our final project. This documentary that I produced is about a fraternity and its relationship with a child who has struggled with many health problems, and how the relationship has benefited both parties in the process.
